Author Guidelines
To ensure the quality and relevance of published articles, we have established the following guidelines for authors submitting manuscripts to our journal:
1. Scope and Focus
Library Progress International welcomes original research articles, literature reviews, case studies, theoretical papers, and other scholarly contributions that advance the field of library and information sciences.
Submissions should address topics related to libraries, information management, information technology, digital libraries, knowledge organization, information retrieval, scholarly communication, and related areas.
We encourage interdisciplinary perspectives and welcome submissions that explore the intersection of library and information sciences with other disciplines.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in English and submitted in Microsoft Word format.
Ensure that your manuscript follows the journal's formatting guidelines, including font size, margins, line spacing, and citation style. A template is available upon request.
Manuscripts should include a title, abstract (150-250 words), keywords (3-5 keywords), introduction, methodology (if applicable), results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
Figures, tables, and other visual elements should be clearly labeled and of high quality. Provide captions and ensure proper citation if adapted or reproduced from other sources.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any copyrighted material used in their manuscripts.
3. Submission Process
Authors should submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Ensure all required information, including author names, affiliations, and contact details, is provided accurately.
Upon submission, authors will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of their manuscript. Submissions will undergo a thorough peer-review process to assess their scholarly merit and suitability for publication.
Authors can expect timely communication regarding the status of their submission throughout the review process.
4. Peer Review
All submissions to Library Progress International undergo double-blind peer review, where both the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure impartial evaluation.
Reviewers evaluate submissions based on criteria such as originality, relevance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field.
Authors will receive feedback and recommendations from reviewers to help improve the quality of their manuscript. Revisions may be required based on reviewer comments.
5. Copyright and Open Access
Authors retain the copyright to their work published in Library Progress International, granting the journal the right to first publication.
Published articles are made available under a Creative Commons license, allowing for widespread dissemination and reuse, provided proper attribution is given to the original work.
6. Ethical Considerations
Authors should adhere to the highest ethical standards in their research and writing, including the avoidance of plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification of data.
Any potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed upon submission.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with ethical guidelines and regulations, including obtaining necessary permissions and consent for human subjects research.
